Our Founder's Story
Ivan Suslaev, Founder & President
Ivan Suslaev’s story is one of true entrepreneurial grit and visionary leadership. As the CEO of ADG Concepts, he has a background as intriguing as his business acumen.
His family’s escape from Soviet Union under the iron curtain set the stage for his early forays into entrepreneurship. As a young boy in Europe, driven by the need to support his family in their new life as immigrants, Ivan started his first business in the streets washing dirty car lights. This early experience ignited a lifelong passion for innovation and business.
In 2007, he founded ADG Concepts, initially venturing into the hospitality and renovation industry. This path led him to the niche market of compressed air technology. Fascinated by its development and potential for improvement, Ivan dedicated himself to elevating the industry.
Today, he is recognized for helping pioneer many of the standards in air compression technology. ADG Concepts, under his leadership, has grown rapidly and now focuses on creating environmentally friendly, high-return air compression systems, showcasing Ivan’s commitment to designing a sustainable and prosperous future.
Leadership Team
Gustav Kolbert, SALES Manager
Gustav “Gus” Kolbert, with a rich history in construction and quality control, currently excels in his role as the Sales Manager at ADG, a position he has held after five years of dedicated service to the company. Gus has always worked in construction background, but prior to ADG, he honed his skills in quality control, spending four years conducting food audits in the food industry, ensuring the highest standards. At ADG, Gus’s career trajectory has been remarkable; starting as an installer, he quickly progressed through the ranks, serving as a superintendent and then a project manager. His ascent to executive leadership within the company underscores his diverse expertise and exceptional ability to lead and execute complex projects. Gus’s combination of hands-on experience and strategic leadership makes him a key asset to ADG’s continued success.
Cassandra Long, Operations Manager
Cassandra Long, the Operations Manager at ADG since early 2023, brings a wealth of experience to the team, having worked in the industry since 2015 across the DFW Metroplex. Her expertise spans various sectors including Commercial, Industrial Manufacturing, Microelectronics, Pharmaceutical, and Semi-Conductor. Cassandra excels in Design Build Projects, Scheduling, Matrix Building, Excel, Estimating, and High Purity Piping Systems, along with T&M Core Accounts, BIM 360, Operations, and Leadership. Her certifications and training include OSHA 30, Blue Beam, and Franklin Covey’s Inspiring Trust, as well as advanced Excel. She’s contributed to key projects at Qorvo, Texas Instruments, AstraZeneca, Finisar, Lockheed Martin, Bunge Oils, and Southwire. Known for her organization, efficiency, and personable nature, Cassandra is a valuable asset to ADG, driving projects towards success with her comprehensive skillset and exceptional leadership.
Jason Simons, Project Manager
With a dynamic background in construction and general maintenance, Jason Simon brings a diverse skill set to his role as a project manager. Starting in the nonprofit sector, Jason has developed hands-on experience in various aspects of construction including tenant improvement build-outs, renovations, service plumbing, compressed air and vacuum systems, fabrication, and locksmithing. His journey through the industry has seen him manage a variety of project sizes, ranging from small build-outs to full turnkey systems, consistently delivering creative solutions to keep projects on time and within budget. Jason’s extensive management experience includes overseeing large conference center staff and some of the country’s largest nonprofit camps, showcasing his ability to lead and execute complex projects with efficiency and innovation.
Gilbert Rangel, General Supervisor
Gilberto “Gil” Rangel, the General Superintendent at ADG Concepts since 2021, plays a crucial role in project management, safety oversight, and customer relations. A Green B Trimble Tech High School alum with a focus in construction management, Gil began as an apprentice welder in the oil and gas industry, gaining diverse experience in construction and structural welding. At ADG, he’s known for enhancing team skills and managing large-scale projects, demonstrating a deep commitment to both professional excellence and personal growth within the industry.
Dylan Pogue, SALES ENGINEER
Dylan Pogue, a seasoned professional in IT and air system design, has been an integral part of ADG for over a year, serving as the lead designer. His educational background is specialized in IT for medical facilities and city-level operations. At ADG, he has made significant contributions by designing air systems for some of America’s largest manufacturers, showcasing his expertise in both IT infrastructure and innovative design solutions. Dylan’s diverse skill set not only enriches his professional capabilities but also adds a dynamic perspective to the ADG team.
